Sycamore Symposiums: A Strong Start to a Promising Initiative
With this being the first Sycamore Symposium update since its launch in January, it’s important to take a moment to recognize the incredible dedication and effort of our experienced Professors. Across the globe, they have gone above and beyond to help elevate the skills and knowledge of their local Professor communities...and that impact cannot be understated.
Organizing a Sycamore Symposium is no small feat. Each event requires up to 10 weeks of thoughtful planning, from proposal and content development to review, registration, and, ultimately, execution on the day of the Symposium. The commitment demonstrated by our organizers and presenters reflects their passion not only for the program, but for supporting one another’s growth.
Over the past four months, that commitment has been translated into an impressive global effort. Professors have successfully hosted 17 Sycamore Symposiums across 7 different countries, bringing together a vibrant network of Pokémon Professors. In total, 70 unique Professors contributed their time and expertise to deliver 64 presentations and workshops, reaching an audience of 515 fellow Professors.
Just as impressive as the scale of this initiative is the quality of the experience delivered. For the program’s initial season, we set an ambitious goal: an overall survey score of 4.3 out of 5. Not only did our community meet that benchmark; they exceeded it by a wide margin, achieving an exceptional average score of 4.82 out of 5. This result speaks volumes about the thoughtfulness, preparation, and passion that went into each session.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our organizers and presenters, who generously volunteered their time to share their knowledge and help strengthen the global Professor community. Their willingness to invest in others is what makes this program truly special.
As we close out this first update, we'd like to extend our sincere thanks and recognition to everyone who played a role in bringing Sycamore Symposiums to life. Your efforts are making a lasting impact...and this is only the beginning.

Program Updates
Regional Professor Coordinator (RPC) Summit In Paris
In April, Regional Professor Coordinators (RPC) from across North America, Europe, and Latin America gathered in Paris, France for a weekend of discussion and feedback with the Professor Program and other teams in the Organized Play department. This event is always a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, bring community perspectives to the forefront and inform ongoing improvements and priorities across the program.

Do you know who your local RPC is? Check out the RPC Network page here!
That's all! Share questions, thoughts and feedback with us in the linked Research Lab forum discussion!
